Congratulations to the pilot and crew of a Lufthansa jet for landing safely against horrible conditions! The crew suffered through gusts that actually pushed the plane sideways, causing the wing to scrape the runway, and they still managed to right the plane and come back around a second time and land without losing the plane or any passengers.
Whether you know it or not, you are heroes! Why, you ask? Just for doing your job? No. Anyone can "do" his or her job, but you did it in the face of great danger and despite exceptional natural forces working against you. Prosit! (Next bier's on me!)
